Where should I send the joining link?
Your three scores are on screen at the end of six short questions, and a copy comes with the link.
The last time you set a direction that mattered, how many people were in the room?
How many people have to act on it?
How many management layers sit between you and the last person who has to act on it?
Afterwards, did anybody ask people what they came away with?
What came back?
Since that event, how many times have you explained the same thing again?
Anything else you would like me to know?
What the three scores mean
Exposure Risk is the size of the job. How many people have to act on it, how many layers sit between you and the last one. Not something you chose, and not something you fix by trying harder.
Activity Risk is whether anyone has actually checked. This is the one you can change, and it is what checking is for.
Alignment Cost is what it is already costing you. How many times you have had to say it again.
Before the session, test something you're about to say
Send it on WhatsApp the way you would say it, and you get back how your people are likely to hear it and where they could read it differently from what you mean. Then you can discuss how to improve it. It's called Drift, and your first three sessions are complimentary.
